The brief
Turning subscriptions into protection
F-Secure's APAC partner ecosystem had a critical revenue leakage problem: thousands of users held active subscriptions but never activated the protective features, leaving customers and partners with unrealized value. B2B2C onboarding was inefficient, and retention was suffering. F-Secure required a bold, multi-market campaign strategy featuring distinct creative expressions that partners could deploy at scale to drive activation and improve customer lifetime value.
The insight
Family as the strongest trigger
In Asian cultures, emotional motivation to protect family consistently outperforms self-interest in driving behavior change. We proposed three distinct creative expressions, each strategically designed to resonate with different audience segments and partner communication styles. Every expression emphasizes family protection, creates urgency, and simplifies the activation journey through clear, culturally relevant calls-to-action. This approach allowed resellers and partners to deploy campaigns that felt authentic to their brand while maintaining F-Secure's core messaging and activation objectives.
The outcome
More activations and faster onboarding
The campaign was part of a wider creative partnership with F-Secure across APAC, covering always-on content, partner enablement and activations. Together, that support contributed to about 30% growth in one partner's activations, faster customer onboarding, and stronger engagement through localised versions for each market.
Partners also used the modular creative to re-engage dormant customers, and regional feedback said the campaigns felt local while staying on brand.

Your Digital Guardians
Family-first storytelling that personifies F-Secure features as protectors. Each product becomes a guardian watching over your loved ones — turning abstract cybersecurity into something tangible and emotionally compelling.
Shield Up
A confident, friendly call to activate protection with ease. The visual language is bold and reassuring — designed to make the activation step feel simple and empowering rather than technical or intimidating.
Almost Got You
A safe simulated scam that creates an "aha" moment before education and activation. The journey follows a deliberate narrative arc — The Hook draws you in, The Challenge tests your instinct, The Education reveals the truth, and The Reveal lands the message: protection matters. Two variations were developed: one for general partner markets and one localised with Singaporean slang, using cultural tone to enhance relatability, lighten the heaviness, and make cybersecurity comms feel like a conversation, not a lecture.
